About My Campaign
Randy and I, and our two wonderful children Bailey and Teagan, spent many happy years in the quiet community of Midhurst just outside of Barrie. Throughout our time there, our friends grew to be more like family and they have always been (and continue to be) an amazing source of ongoing support and love.
Seven years ago, on February 5, 2014, Randy Boyle, our beloved Dad and husband was taken away by a heart attack and sudden cardiac arrest. Since then, as you may imagine, February - Heart Month has held a special meaning to us.
Cardiac arrest can happen at any time and as we learned, can impact even the fittest people. However, access to an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can greatly increase the chances of survival. Every minute counts.
After school and after sporting events, our family and many others from the Midhurst community would congregate at what was then called the Midhurst General Store for ice cream. The store now is part of the building that houses Midhurst Physiotherapy and Pharmasave at 94 Finlay Mill Road.
In honour and in memory of our beloved Randy, we are giving back to the community by raising funds to install an outdoor SaveStation cabinet with a life-saving AED that will be available 24/7 at this location in Midhurst.
Our family is more than grateful to Carolyn and Craig Glover for agreeing to place the memorial AED on their premises and for their support of this lifesaving addition to the Midhurst community.

UPDATE #2 Friday 10:00 am: Waking up this morning on often a difficult day, we are beyond touched by the response and generosity of our friends, family and community. We spent time last night discussing a second location and are planning on approaching the Midhurst Sports Complex where over the years we spent countless hours, as I'm sure many of you have. This would be an illuminated free standing tower - again in Randy's memory. Our hearts are full,
