About Our Campaign
Dear Friends and Neighbours,
With less than 10 minutes to save a life from Sudden Cardiac Arrest, we all need the power to take action. Automatic External Defibrillators (or AEDs) are empowering the public to save lives - now AEDs can be found in SaveStations across the world - in our public spaces and communities - available 24/7!
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is still one of the leading causes of death and can happen to anyone, anywhere and at any time. CPR alone is not enough, chances of survival go up dramatically with the use of an AED. With greater access, education and awareness about AEDs we can make a huge difference!
Michelle and Kevin have decided to place an outdoor AED cabinet (heated, ventilated and monitored) on the side of their home. This is for the neighbourhood in case of an SCA emergency. Whether you're out for a walk, at the park or just at home, we want everyone to have access to an AED 24/7 and know what to do, once they have called 911.
We have received a generous donation from Action First Aid to get us started, we just need to raise the $1,500 balance. Once installed, instructions and information will be handed out along with a demonstration day. Together we can make a difference.
Thank you.
