Making our Community #CardiacSafe!

About My Campaign

Over the past 3 years the Central York Panthers and families have raised over $60,000 and have been able to place nine outdoor SaveStation units in the communities of Newmarket, Aurora, Bradford and Richmond Hill through their She Shoots She Saves campaign.

The She Shoots She Saves fundraising campaign strives to bring awareness to cardiac health and the importance of public access defibrillators, by placing outdoor AED SaveStations at our community outdoor parks and hockey rinks. The Panthers were inspired to start this campaign after one of our very own Panthers saved a life by performing CPR and using the AED while time keeping a hockey game. At 17, she was the only person that knew what to do!

This year the Central York Panthers have been honoured to be awarded the Community Safety Award from the Town of Aurora and the Awesome Foundation Award from the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce for their tremendous achievements with She Shoots She Saves.

This year we will be starting She Shoots She Saves, Play it Forward. There are 2 different ways that you can get involved. The CYGHA Panthers are challenging other sporting leagues, teams, community leaders, organizations, local businesses to adopt the She Shoots She Saves concept and do their own crowdfunding to place and outdoor AED OR you can donate to our She Shoots She Saves Plays it Forward to help us place another outdoor AED SaveStation in our community.

If you would like to be apart of The She Shoots She Saves Plays it Forward campaign and help the Central York Panthers continue to make the community cardiac safe, please reach out to or info@actionfirstaid.ca

With less than 10 minutes to save a life from Sudden Cardiac Arrest, we all need the power to take action.  Automatic External Defibrillators (or AEDs) are empowering the public to save lives - now AEDs can be found in SaveStations across the world - in our public spaces and communities - available 24/7!

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is still one of the leading causes of death and can happen to anyone, anywhere and at any time. With greater access, education and awareness about AEDs we can make a huge difference!
