About My Campaign
Help Us Bring SaveStation to St. Albert
We started When the Beat Gets Busy after our family experienced firsthand how quickly a cardiac emergency can change everything.
One thing we learned is that when someone’s heart stops, every second matters.
CPR can help keep blood moving, and an AED may be able to restore a normal heart rhythm. But the AED has to be nearby, and people need to know where it is. The longer someone goes without defibrillation, the lower their chance of survival can become.
That’s why we’re raising funds to bring two SaveStations to St. Albert.
A SaveStation is an AED placed in a location where it can be reached quickly during an emergency. Our first goal is to establish two SaveStations in the community, with the locations subject to approval from the City of St. Albert. Once those are in place, we hope to keep working toward more accessible AEDs throughout the community.
This fundraiser isn’t about one person. It’s about all of us.
It’s about the child playing nearby.
The parent watching from the sidelines.
The teenager at an event.
The neighbour out for a walk.
The person who seems completely healthy but suddenly needs help.
We can’t predict when a cardiac emergency will happen.
But we can be better prepared when it does.
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us closer to placing these first two SaveStations in St. Albert and creating a stronger network of accessible AEDs in the future.
If you’re not able to donate, sharing this fundraiser still helps. The more people who know about it, the closer we get to making this happen.
A SaveStation could mean the difference between being too late and having a chance.
This is what When the Beat Gets Busy is about.
Inspired by one story. Dedicated to every heart.
Thank you for helping us make St.Albert a little more prepared.
